Personal Data & Privacy

CGIUKI uses delegate information to facilitate and enhance the event experience before, during, and after participation.

Before the Event

Delegates will receive logistical details, access instructions for online events, and preparatory materials.

Delegate names, job titles, and companies will be shared with trainers to support any session planning.

During the Event

Delegate details may appear on badges or within delegate lists (including apps or virtual platforms).

At in-person events, badges may be scanned by exhibitors. This shares your contact information with them, like exchanging a business card. Exhibitors must request permission before scanning.

After the Event

Delegates may receive follow-up communications including CPD confirmations, presentation materials, event photography, sponsor information, and invitations to future events.

Training course participants may also be invited to activate their complimentary professional subscription.

Additional Notes

For sponsored events, delegate lists may be shared with sponsors for planning purposes only—not for marketing.

For sponsored webinars or podcasts, delegate consent will be requested before sharing email addresses with sponsors.

Delegates who prefer not to appear on delegate lists or have their details shared should notify CGIUKI at the time of booking via: [email protected]

Delegates may be invited to register with third-party platforms (e.g. webinar tools or event apps). Participation is optional.

Photography and Video

At events with fewer than 100 attendees, notification of photography or videography will be provided at reception.

At larger events (100+ attendees), photography and videography should be expected.

By attending, delegates grant CGIUKI permission to use their image for promotional purposes unless they opt out.

Delegates who do not wish to be photographed should inform the registration team upon arrival.

Data retention

Delegate lists shared for planning purposes will be securely deleted within seven days following the event.
