Student membership

Everyone studying for The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland's qualifications becomes a student member, joining our international community of governance professionals from the very start of your studies. Student members receive many of the same benefits as full members, as they work towards their goal of Affiliated or Chartered membership status.

Students who achieve Corporate Governance (Part One) on the core qualifying programme may also be eligible to apply to become an Affiliated member.

Students on our validated postgraduate courses have the option of taking up student membership at any point on their course, but we strongly recommend that you are with us from the beginning to get most value from belonging to our community.

Benefits

  • An informative and engaging digital magazine
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Student prices for events and training
  • A governance helpline for individual guidance and support
