East Midlands

Welcome to The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, East Midlands branch. We provide support to the Institute's members and students in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

About us

The East Midlands Branch covers a wide geographical area and has been expanded recently in the recent reorganisation of branches. The Branch is now in its 4th year of operation and the Committee works closely with the Department of Accountancy, Finance and Economics (AFE) within the Lincoln International Business School at the University of Lincoln. The AFE Department runs a successful MSc Governance with Grad CGI and its numbers have increased in the most recent academic year. This course is offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.

The branch also takes advantage of talks offered by the University which is felt would be of interest to branch members. In the past events have been held in association with the Yorkshire Branch and the West Midlands Branch. We look forward to working on behalf of our branch members and are always keen to receive suggestions, ideas and help for branch events. We have also offered free revision sessions for the Corporate Governance module in the past. As a branch we are keen to extend a warm welcome to all new members.

Questions regarding branch activities can be sent to: [email protected]

We also have LinkedIn group which you can access using the link here.
