CGIUKI has welcomed the FRC’s new Corporate Governance Code but cautioned that governance and regulatory reform remains incomplete.

Friday 5 February saw the leaking of a white paper on health and social care reform. Given the interest in the NHS and its future approach to systems working, some of the principles aired in the document may be of interest to governance professionals.

The white paper very sensibly highlights that the Regulator will establish a compulsory ‘Football Club Corporate Governance Code’ and that this code will draw on existing codes including the UK Corporate Governance Code, the Wates Principles and the Code for Sports Governance.
