Zoe Bucknell, Co-Founder, Kuberno
I often refer to myself as a governance geek by which I mean that I am fascinated by how good governance operates; the interlinking of systems, processes, people and culture that all have to work seamlessly so that businesses can operate in a safe yet agile way in the interests of all stakeholders. I believe that we need to rethink the approach to governance using the tools and techniques being applied to transform businesses, such as design thinking, process optimisation and automation and above all putting the “user” at the heart of everything. Governance can be the key to unlocking truly agile businesses and helping Secretariats to transform their teams and delivery to stakeholders is my passion. One of my favourite quotes is “ Creativity is Intelligence having fun.” Injecting some fun along the way is so important for team development and learning .. and amazing things can happen when we tap into our creativity.
Before founding Kuberno, Zoe has previously held in-house company secretarial positions in the financial services sector being Deputy Group Company Secretary at Lloyds Banking Group, Group General Counsel, Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at OneSavings Bank plc, Legal and Compliance Director at Principle Insurance Holdings, UK Company Secretary at Hiscox Plc and General Counsel and Company Secretary, Advent Capital Holdings Plc
