An effective board performance review is a valuable strategic tool.  An ineffective board review is a tick box exercise. This webinar is for governance professionals across all sectors, with a variety of experience in board evaluations. Victoria Penrice, Immediate Past President, The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland

Victoria is Immediate Past President of the UKRIAT Committee and qualified as a chartered secretary over 20 years ago. She has significant experience in listed companies and Victoria has been on the UKRIAT Committee since it was formed in 2014, having originally been elected to the Institute’s Council in 2013. Victoria currently sits on the Chartered Governance Institute International Council

Andrew Fairhurst, Chartered Governance Professional

Andrew was previously the Director of Company Secretarial at Legal & General. Andrew joined Legal & General as a Company Secretarial Assistant in 1987. During his career with Legal  & General, Andrew has undertaken a number of senior Operational and Group roles and has extensive governance experience. Andrew was appointed Director of Company Secretarial in July 2018 . Andrew is a member of The Chartered Governance Institute’s Co Secs Forum and Chairs the Forum’s Corporate Governance Group. He is a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and the Institute of Directors and a member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Justine Blakesley, Head of Governance, Rolls-Royce SMR Limited


Justine has over 25 years’ experience in leading on and offshore jurisdictions, and has experience in many sectors including, financial and legal services, private client & family office, funds, insurance, investments, oil and gas, property and the nuclear industry.

Prior to joining Rolls-Royce SMR Limited, Justine was the CEO, Board Director, Company Secretary and Global Head of Client Services for Conyers International law firm. Justine led the global client services team in delivering formation, corporate & trust administration and accounting services. Justine has also held senior management roles at Walkers International Law Firm, Capita Plc, World Nuclear Transport and MJ Gleeson Group Plc.
